When French-speaking North Londoner Emma Topolski isn’t moonlighting in Laura Marling’s band, playing bass and singing for Radio-1 supported Childcare or collaborating with other artists like Ghostpoet, she’s working on her own project, Saint Clair. Fresh from a supporting slot opening for Marling, Saint Clair shares the soulful new track, “Train.” Produced by Ben Jones, the new song was developed around the sounds of trains journeying in and out of London Bridge station recorded from the roof of Jone’s nearby Bermondsey studios. Much like last year’s compelling “Heavy On My Heart,” the emotive “Train” is yet another stirring single set to turn heads. Saint Clair’s D1 is out now via her own Dearly Beloved imprint.
